Private Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello) Lessons

4 private Violin, Viola or Cello lessons at your preferred day and time! We offer lessons on weekdays from 3:00 - 9:00 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Classes are held at Expressions Music Academy Troy - 4000 Livernois Rd, Troy, MI 48098

After you purchase your pack of 4 private lessons, please call or text the office at 248-773-8364 or email at info@expressionsmusicacademy.com to book your lessons. Be sure to mention that you purchased 4 lessons through the Troy school system! Expressions Music Academy does not handle any payments. 

Your first lesson can be booked up to two weeks in advance, and your will have the same recurring day, time, and teacher for 4 consecutive weeks! Following your last lesson, you will have the opportunity to enroll for recurring lessons directly through Expressions Music Academy.

Please note that the date on the calendar below does not reflect any actual scheduling. All scheduling for your lessons must be completed through the Expressions office. 

Our expert strings teachers use a combination of Suzuki and other methods for a perfect balance of developing strong intonation and technique while also giving students a strong note-reading background. Our students enjoy playing their favorite songs while being introduced to a variety of new styles of music such as classical, movie themes, contemporary/pop, fiddling, folk, Celtic, and more.

VIOLIN, VIOLA, AND CELLO LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS - All of our instructor's love working with beginners and have experience creating a structured program to help students master foundational aspects such as good posture, bow control and technique, intonation, tone production, note-reading, rhythm, theory, and more. Whether your child is preparing to start a string instrument in school soon, or whether they just want to give one of these beautiful instruments a try, our instructors will help to create a strong foundation.

VIOLIN, VIOLA, AND CELLO TEACHERS FOR EXPERIENCED STUDENTS - Whether students come to us with prior experience from their school orchestra or a private teacher, or whether they started with us as beginners and continued to advance, we know how to help them reach their next goal. Intermediate or advanced students learn how to play more challenging music and fine-tune and polish their playing by mastering more advanced techniques and theoretical applications. Whether students want to learn a new style, prepare for a competition or audition, or just keep playing for fun, we have the skills and experience to get them there.

VIOLIN, VIOLA, AND CELLO INSTRUCTORS FOR ADULTS - Many of our adult students have always had the dream of playing an instrument and many others played as a child and wish to pick their instrument back up again. Whether students have a busy career, are a busy parent, or are a retired adult, our instructors are delighted to help them learn and enjoy how to play their favorite songs and styles of music.
