Your child will enjoy a safe, caring and FUN environment with opportunities for learning, making friends, creating art projects, playing outdoors, along with many more opportunities to keep busy children happy. Explorers Child Care at Troy PreschoolExplorers is available for students who attend our troy School District Preschool location at 205 W. Square Lake Rd. There are 2 separate options available based on the program your child is registered for. Pre-K and tuition or GSRP. Please select the option based on your child's program at time of registration. Registration opens on May 11th at 8am. Waitlist will begin once we reach capacity. Half Day sessions opens on June 1st. Explorers is available in the morning before school starts beginning at 7am and afterschool until 6pm. Schedules are required to be the same each week and require a 2 week written notice to change or cancel. We are unable to offer week to week changes. Schedules can be 1 day a week or all 5 depending on your needs. Please email jhill@troy.k12.mi.us for any changes or questions. We do offer Explorers on most half days of school. This requires a separate registration if you would like your child to attend. Half day sessions are not included in the PM session. You will need to register your child and registration fees apply if you are not a current Explorer family. Half days are under the Non-School Days in your arux account. High School Additional Credit - School YearHigh School students can earn missing credits or gain advance credit by working online from anywhere or in the Troy Learning Center lab at night. High School Summer SchoolRegistration NOW OPEN through JUNE 26, 2026. Before registering for any summer school courses, it is essential that students meet with their school counselor. Counselors can help ensure that course selections align with graduation requirements, academic goals, and individual learning plans. Registering without prior approval may result in taking a course that does not meet your academic needs or will not be credited toward your high school diploma. Please schedule a meeting with your counselor as a first step in the summer school enrollment process. Virtual Program Dates: June 10 - July 27, 2026 NOTE: New Online Learning Platform and Class Offerings Virtual Program Platform UPDATE: We will no longer offer classes via Edgenuity. The new summer school online learning platform is “Subject”. Courses will be completed in the Subject platform. Throughout the summer, students and families should ensure they have access to Subject and check the platform regularly for assignments. Additional information and support will be provided to help ensure a smooth transition. TSD TutoringThe Troy School District is pleased to offer a Tutoring Program for elementary, middle, and high school students. To provide the highest quality tutoring experience, all tutors are a part of the excellent Troy School District educational community. TSD TUTORS support classroom learning. Please review the TSD Tutors Parent Guidelines with your student. TutorPunch card: ONE-TO-ONE TUTORING Sessions are purchased as Punch Cards – however, actual Punch Cards are not being used at this time. Your Tutor and you will track your session usage. Registration Process: 1. Select Punch Card Tutoring from the options below. 2. Select 6 or 12 session Punch Card. Please fill out as much of the information as possible, so we can best find you an appropriate Tutor. 3. Include the name of your current Tutor. If you do not have one, leave blank, and a tutor will be assigned to you. The tutor will contact you and together you will work out your tutoring schedule. 4. Punch Card sessions can be used for more than one child. If 2 children will be using one card, please add the 2nd child's name, grade, subject to the NOTES section of the registration. Again, include as much information as possible! 5. You will be contacted by the TSD Tutor Coordinator for any additional information. You will then be connected to a Tutor. Troy School District PreschoolThe troy School District Preschool provides a World Class early-learning experience for all learners. Your child will receive a high-quality foundation of learning in a nurturing, literacy-rich environment directly aligned to our K-12 TSD Curriculum. troy Preschool teachers work with our Kindergarten staff to ensure that we are empowering our youngest students for a seamless transition into the TSD Kindergarten classroom. We offer full day or half day preschool classes. Our Full Day tuition is $10,300 and our Half Day tuition is $5850. Our tuition is paid in 10 equal monthly installments beginning August 1st and ending on May 1st. We also have Explorer's before and after school child care. The cost is $11 a day for the before (AM) and $16 a day for the after (PM). This requires a separate registration and registration fees apply. Tuition and Explorer rates are subject to change. Priority is given to troy School District families. Out of District registrations will be wait listed. We do offer Explorers on most half days of school. We will not offer Explorers on half days during the first and last week of school. The cost is $40 and requires a separate registration if you would like your child to attend. Troy School District Preschool VirtualTSD Virtual Preschool is aligned to the TSD preschool curriculum, including authentic literacy, math & inquiry based learning. Class is with a TSD preschool teacher. Classes meet Monday through Thursday, We are offering a second semester, beginning January 25, 2021-June 14, 2021. Tuition is $1500/semester, per child. Enrollment is open to all. Tuition is billed in 2 monthly installments, February and March. This is a non-refundable and non-rated program.Child Care Program -
Troy School District Preschool-First FriendsFirst Friends is a playgroup for families with children 18 months to 36 months old. Families (one adult/one child) will meet with the teacher once per week in a playgroup setting. Priority is given to Troy School District families. Please note that children will need to be within the age requirements. Children who turn 3 years of age before the start of the session are ineligible for this program. Fall/Winter/Spring is a 15 week session with a fee of $300.00 per child. Summer First Friends is a 5 week session with a fee of $100.00 per child. Registration for the Fall/Winter session will open on Monday August 3rd at 8am. Registration for the Winter/Spring session will open on Monday January 4th at 8am. Summer class will be held at the preschool building located at 205 W. Square Lake Rd. First Friends is a welcoming first step to preschool.
