Watercolor Instruction for Beginners (fine art focus)
Dive into the world of watercolor painting where you’ll discover relaxing and fun techniques and mix pretty colors to create lovely paintings. Each class focuses on various techniques that define the foundation of watercolor painting. This fine art–level watercolor class is designed for students looking to deepen their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Participants will focus on core techniques, composition, and artistic development while building confidence in their creative process. Guided by an experienced local instructor with a professional background as both an artist and editor, the class offers thoughtful instruction by local Watercolor Artist, Megan Swoyer, individualized feedback, and a well-rounded approach to watercolor as a fine art practice.
Materials Needed: Watercolor paints in a palette, An empty palette for mixing if not in your palette of paints already, Watercolor paper pad, 9 x 12, 140 pound, cold press, 2 b pencil, office eraser (not eraser on the pencil), table salt (in Ziplock bag), white crayon or white taper candle, two or three watercolor brushes that range in size from 1 to 6 (round brushes, not flat)
