Cursive Connections: Handwriting Enrichment

Give your handwriting a little extra flair! Cursive Connections is an after-school enrichment class for Barnard Elementary students in grades 3–5 who want to build strong handwriting skills and explore the fun of cursive writing.

Students will learn and practice letter formation, connect letters smoothly in cursive, and work on spacing and legibility. We’ll also explore comfortable posture and pencil grip to help make writing feel easier. Students will be creating a punch needle name poster to showcase their new cursive skills.

With practice, students can strengthen fine motor skills, feel more confident about their writing, and create work that’s easier for others to read. Whether your child is just beginning cursive or wants to polish their handwriting, there’s room to learn, create, and celebrate progress.
